We share what we have lived
For 10 years, we have practiced Yoga, and in 2023, we traveled to India to deepen our understanding. Over 8 months, we studied in various places, beginning at a Yoga university (SVYASA), studying in different schools in Rishikesh, and living for 4 months in two different Ashrams. It was there that we discovered that the interpretation of Yoga in the West often strays from its true principles and applications, and that its strength lies in its simplicity.
We invite you to review the summary of each place that contributed to our experience and training.
S-VYASA University
Located in the state of Karnataka, near the city of Bangalore, it is the only university in the world with a scientific approach to the application of Yoga science. On its vast campus, there is a scientific center for testing and verification of its techniques, which are carried out in its own Ayurveda clinic. This clinic receives patients from all over India and the world, treating various physical and mental ailments. Additionally, the training center is structured from the basic to the fourth level, focusing on the training of therapists in the Science of Yoga. Students are trained to treat diseases as a complementary therapy through yogic techniques.
Ashram Radhaswami - Channasandra
Located in the state of Karnataka, a couple of hours from the city of Bangalore, is the Radhaswami Ashram, offering direct teachings on Shurat Shabd Yoga. Long 6-hour daily meditation sessions for 15 days in an unparalleled retreat, under the grace of the living Master Sant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj, known to his disciples as "Babaji." We received daily Satsang and Darshan, along with teachings on his techniques.
Isha Foundation
A utopia in progress, a Yogic teaching center of titanic proportions that shares and promotes a lifestyle using Shaivite yogic techniques, focusing on kriyas, energy management, and service. Its techniques are developed by its spiritual guide Jaggi Vasudev, known as "Sadhguru."
Rishikesh "The Capital of Yoga"
Rishikesh, known as the "Capital of Yoga," is a charming city located in northern India, in the state of Uttarakhand. Situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges River and surrounded by the majestic Himalayan mountains, it was a tranquil place in ancient times but has become chaotic due to the influx of adventure and spiritual tourism.
Its numerous ashrams, yoga centers, and meditation schools provide a unique opportunity to deepen practice and learn from experienced teachers. Here, we were able to practice techniques in different schools of Hatha Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and Sound Therapy with Tibetan bowls.
Radhaswami Ashram SOMAJAIB KRIPA - Gudella
Near a small village called Gudella in the state of Andhra Pradesh lies the Radhaswami SOMAJAIB KRIPA Ashram, the home of the Saint Sant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj. We were welcomed with all the grace of Babaji to live and serve in his home. Here, we were able to deepen our practice of Shurat Shabd Yoga, the most powerful experience we have had in our lifes.
